Embedded Comment Form Not Visible?

I noticed today that the embedded comment form was not showing up on my blog. I could make full screen and pop-up comment windows work, but not the embedded comment form. I looked around the web for answers and discovered what was wrong. Templates created before Google adopted embedded comments have to be modified in order to to use that feature. Hopefully this article will help others facing this problem.

I found an easy solution and it worked!

Go to your dashboard - Layout / Edit HTML and tick the "Expand Widget
Templates" checkbox. Hit Ctrl and F at the same time to open the
"Find" box on a PC.

search for <b:include data='post' name='comments'/>
it may also look like <b:include data='post' name='comments' />

Regardless, after the closing bracket on that line of code, copy/paste
<b:include data='post' name='comment-form'/>

I found this solution at
http://www.bloggerbuster.com/2008/06/how-to-add-comment-form-beneath-your.html but reworded it to make it more accessible.

I love comments and try to visit the pages of all commentors although I don't always have time to comment back right away.

About This Blog

This site is a resource for finding giveaways to enter and places for bloggers to promote giveaways that they are having. I created Cakeblast Resources because I wanted all my most important blog resource links in one place. This is a place to share giveaways and contests that I am not hosting myself. I also want to provide a place to find important links that bloggers can use such as sweepstakes sites, contest linkys, and other places to promote your blog. I have recently included my list of homeschool resources as well.
